Keeping the photos current. I walked to the PX today to buy a camera and as soon as I got back I had a soldier friend of mine that's getting deployed with me and just so happens to be the man I'll be doing missions with take a picture of me.
Yeah, I know, I was a bit sweaty but it's very hot around here during summer - in Alaska we get 24 hour sunlight during June, July, and August. Then the rest of the nine months is winter and only 4 hours of daylight and 20 hours of negative 40 Fahrenheit. When I get back from Iraq I'm going to post some photos up of some of the things that happened. Most will probably be rated mature with good reason. In the meantime I figure I'll just keep it light with some Pre-deployment pictures of the casual life in Garrison - when soldiers are not at war and just training and staying in shape. |
